Q: What materials are used to make RepurposingNOLA products?
A: We only select materials found locally in New Orleans to create our uniquely sustainable, fashionable designs. We put thousands of dollars back into our community purchasing hardware used on our signature bags from Re-Store, Green Project or the Salvage Store to support local rebuilding, belts and men's oxford shirts from local non-profit Bridge House and Goodwill to support local programs for people in need. Sturdy burlap from local PJs roasting house coffee sacks that originate all over the globe stamped specifically for destination: New Orleans are redesigned into our cool bags and burlap dress line. We carefully uncover extra bolts of fabrics leftover from local hotel renovations, and vinyl baseboard trim is cut and re-purposed for our signature bags. Labels and printed clothing in partnership with Art for Wear who use eco-friendly soy-based inks to print our unique labels and graphic designs on our eco-fashionista t-shirts and yoga pants.

Q: What if I want to ship to another address?
A: Not a problem. Simply fill out the billing section with your address, and the shipping with where you want it delivered. Please note: We are unable to fulfill any orders outside of the US/CANADA.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: FINAL SALE SAMPLE ITEMS are not returnable, so please choose carefully. Returns within 7 days of purchase for full refund, less shipping. Exchanges within 30 days for replacement item only, customer is responsible for additional shipping fees. Quality control is of the utmost importance to us; however, should any REpurposingNOLA item not live up to our standards, we will be happy to repair or replace that item for you. Customer is only responsible for shipping item back to us.

Q: Do you accept checks?
A: We do accept local checks at events with proper forms of ID. We also accept PayPal payments. Please contact us for information on payment via PayPal.

Q: Do you have a retail location for your product line?
A: We are currently searching for our own brand retail space in New Orleans and will keep you posted. Select items from the REpurposingNOLA Piece by Peace line are currently available at several retailers in New Orleans, Northern + Southern California, Texas and Maine. Q: If an item is out of stock, can I still order it?
A: Absolutely, provided we have access to the materials used to make that item. Our items are produced FRESH every week, and unless an item has been discontinued, we will make another one for you. Select items are actually made FRESH for your order. Please allow at least 15 days per item for production and shipping on out of stock items, longer if materials are out of stock.

Q: Is everything REALLY made locally?
A: We only contract with local seamstresses to hand-produce our designs from locally gathered, repurposed materials and pay fair wages for their work. The RepurposingNOLA Piece by Peace product line keeps your investment local. We do not work with manufacturers overseas to produce under questionable ethics, the only shipping we do is in delivering our product to you. As we grow nationally, our production locations will grow with us to accommodate regional activity, thus maintaining our low carbon footprint. Q: What are the care instructions for my REpurposingNOLA Piece by Peace item?

A: All of our burlap bags will love a gentle cold wash cycle and line dry once or month, or as needed. The burlap is food-grade quality jute so we do not pre-treat it. Customers who want to reduce the natural shedding of the burlap may do so with any scotchguard treatment available at local hardware stores. Our salvaged wood items have been sealed and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. And 100% repurposed cotton canvas clothing items are made durable for normal wash/dry. Specific care is listed for each item online.
